A sudden and alerting sound causes you to instantly awake! A few more days has passed since your quarrel with the guard, and it has cost you all your meals as punishment, leaving you weak and tired physically, but more alert and aware mentally! Red lights are flashing above almost all of the doors or cells, sirens are echoing within the massive, metallic halls of this portable space-prison. A riot!
You notice that the field keeping you locked in is still active, and you slowly slither up to it to look outside. It is chaos. Someone or something must have managed to overpower the guards or fiddle with the computers holding you all here... impressive.
Suddenly, a human dressed in rags can be seen running about on your level, jamming a strange dagger-looking item into the controls to each cell. It emits a spark that shorts out the grid and allows the prisoners to escape! Eventually he comes to your cell as well, but seems to halt himself from freeing you at first... considering the risk of unleashing another monster into the fray. It gives you a moment to further study the weapon he is wielding. It is some kind of hacking tool, with a single sharp edge at the top and exposed wires and chips that no doubt causes the short-out.
Eventually he decides to release you as well, breaking the controls and you see the grid shimmer, the one thing standing between you and one of your former enslavers...
