“Hinata, Sakura!" Temari cried. "Go around the perimeter and destroy the pillars. Ino, Tenten, and I will go after Marunomi. Once you two are done with the pillars, come back and meet up with us. Understood?”
“Yes!” Hinata and Sakura replied and nodded in unison.
With that, Temari, Ino, and Tenten were off.
Sakura turned and immediately headed toward the nearby pillar. She reeled her hand back and delivered a devastating punch completely destroying the pillar. Hinata and Sakura looked up at the dome and, true to Marunomi’s word, it still remained. It seemed they really would have to destroy all the pillars.
“Alright, Hinata…” Sakura said. “…There are still six more pillars. You take three on the east side and I’ll take three on the west side. After that, we’ll meet up.”
“Got it!” Hinata replied.
With that, the two were off. As Hinata commenced her journey to the next pillar, she was filled with a sense of gratitude. Gratitude that Temari had chosen her to destroy the pillars and not chase after Marunomi. Though she knew confrontation was inevitable, she truly wanted to stay as far away as she could from that monster. But perhaps now things had worked out for the best. She and Sakura would destroy the pillars and, by the time they were done, Temari would have already vanquished Marunomi. Or at least she hoped.
