"Um, thank you Violet." You gasp "That was incredible! My name's John."
"Oooh, that's an odd name." She wriggles over to you, her coils writhing over your body as she lifts her head and chest above your head. "So, Jo...oooon. what are you doing here? I don't see many humans. Mostly escapees from the Dlex."
"The what?" you say.
"Dlex. It's this big, slithery, slimy thing up a couple of feet above us. I think it reaches out to humans from it's lair and drags them in. Lots of screaming, gurgling, crying. That sort of thing. But all it's meals were smaller. They stood about as high as I can when I really reach."
"Kids? Wait, is this thing some sort of bogeyman monster?"
"I think I heard one of the humans say that once."
"And it eats them... and you eat some of them?"
"Yup! But they never seemed to understand about sex. Weird."
It's very distracting peering up at a gorgeous (albeit small) woman grinning down at you while she talks about monsters and eating children.
