In the Lion's Den - Page 184 - Don't annoy an author. - By Anonymous - Overview
As the elephant stares up above the sky gradually begins to darken. To his horror thick black clouds swirl about as if to surround a descending space craft. Instead however all that falls is a bolt of golden energy. The elephant instinctually knows to run but cannot manage to move. Above where the bolt generated gradually a face came into focus, apparently a fox, with a happy grin. The lines that criss-crossed the gigantic fur slowly dissapeared and he glanced around. Countless animals could be seen as the two-tailed fox inhaled, creating a vortex that dragged in all life. Trees were torn from the ground and soon the elephant fell himself slipping. With nothing to grab onto he was pulled into the fox child's mouth.

As the elephant descended to his stomach, without so much as a notice, the fox began to grow in size. Soon he had left the Earth behind and grown beyond imagination. Slowly the planets slipped from their orbits and began to lock around the fox. Because of his far greater mass many of them were drawn in so close that they crashed against his golden fur. The rest however were pulled in by the strange vortex his muzzle generated. With a final breath he began to inhale deeper, and everything began to slow.

It is called the Big Freeze. Some believe that when the universe expands to it's maximum the entire cosmos will simply freeze, both in time and temperature. That was a good analogy to what was occuring. Time began to slow as reality itself was consumed by the fox. At last only he remained, floating in a void that could not be comprehended by the human imagination. In truth the fox sat in "nothing", and casually lay down to rest.
