Mr. Stephenson opens his mouth to say something, but he is so shocked the words don’t come out. The big man thinks for a little bit, and you get nervous. You are just about to apologize when he finally speaks.
“I-I never realized. But you know, that’s not a bad thing. What you’re feeling is normal. And you’re a good kid- well I can’t call you a kid anymore. You’re a good man. I am totally fine with that. In fact, care to tell me what you like about me?”
“I like your size most of all, sir. How tall are you exactly?”
Mr. Stephenson stands up and signals for you to do so as well. He towers over you yet again. “I am six foot three” he responds. “Not as big as your dad, but still much bigger than you. Glad you like that about me.”
