Fallout: Voracious - Page 2 - Writer's Rules - By Aces - Overview
=== OOC RULES ===

The story starts in Vault 7 in the year 2266, located along a highway tunnel near (what is left of) Lake Tahoe.

Vault 7 had a secret experiment to deliberately infect the occupants of the vault with modified strains of the Forced Evolutionary Virus, in this case designed to augment the body's ability to heal by altering the body's DNA and metabolism with changes inspired by snakes, geckos, and other reptiles. The experiment was actually a complete success and for years vault dwellers enjoyed very good health at the expense of an overzealous metabolism as a side effect. The problem came when one day the botany lab caved in due to a water leak, killing all occupants in the lab, and cutting off the vault's food supply. Soon, emergency food stocks ran out and cannibalism took over. It was during this crisis that another side-effect of the virus was discovered, in that anyone who was injected with the FEV also had the ability to unhinge their jaws, expand their ribcage, and stretch their gut large enough to fit an entire person inside of it. The story begins with you; The Refugee from Vault 7.

Info to know that should be consistent across all storylines:
- Staying inside the vault will mean death sooner or later as food supplies are gone. You HAVE to leave eventually--or die there.
- Outside the Vault door is a narrow maintinence tunnel that eventually leads to the highway tunnel. The tunnel is located at exactly 39°02'47.7"N 119°56'53.0"W on the east side of Lake Tahoe which is mostly dried up. Use Fallout world maps and Google Maps for reference on location and try to use canonical locations when available. If you have any questions about where you are at any given point in the story when writing new chapters, ask http://aryion.com/g4/user/Aces to help you pinpoint yourself.

The rules of this interactive story are as follows:
- Avoid one-line pages. Those are boring. Sometimes they are nessicary but otherwise don't be lazy.
- The story may contain a wide variety of vore-related fetishes including things you might not like (hardvore, disposal, digestion, preds who aren't your preferred gender, etc). Don't spoil the story by putting up tedious warnings about some fetish ahead, and don't get upset if you hit something you dislike. It'd be too much of a pain in the ass to list every little thing that needs a warning tag on it. Don't like something? Either power through it or pick another RP option.
- That being said, don't deliberately go out of your way to gross people out. Things like pedophilia, diapers, and eating scat are explicitly banned.
- Story is written in 2nd person. "You, your," etc. The narrator is speaking to the reader. The player character is referred to as the 'Refugee' by other characters, and not by name.
- The story is written in present tense. If you write an interactive story in past-tense, you make readers cringe.
- Mark your page titles with (Boy) or (Girl) so we don't lose track of them. Many pages are copypasted versions of the opposite gender, but some diverge into new storylines that the other gender does not get to experience.
- No magic. Ever. At all. If you can't believably achieve something with technology already in Fallout by the year 2266, then it's not allowed.
- No reformation. This includes cloning.
- No forcing gender transformations. There's a boy and girl path for a reason. :T
- Stay true to Fallout lore. Any canonical locations, characters, events, etc, should be used when available. That means don't kill off any canonical characters unless their demise is ambiguous in Fallout's lore.
- Do not include player-characters from the canonical Fallout lore (such as the Lone Wanderer, Chosen One, Courier, etc). They can only be vaguely referenced (see above rule).
- Do not include furry characters or demi-human characters unless they can fit into the lore. For example; a demi catgirl makes no goddamn sense. However an anthrophomorphic Deathclaw perhaps developed by the Enclave is probably fine.

This story is loosely based on the timeline of Fallout: Guts and Glory, written by Aces, found at http://aryion.com/g4/view/332997 which takes place ten years after the events of Fallout: Voracious.
