You find to your delight that you can easily pick this crude lock. It takes less than a minute before it softly clicks and the door slightly opens as the lock no longer holds it in place.
Carefully you open it just enough to slip out into the room beyond, which as you imagined was a corridor. It is long and straight and stretches away from your cell which appears to be at one end. You walk away from this and realise that in the middle of the corridor two more doors of almost identical type to the one on the cell lead off to the left and the right.
A further door at the opposite end of the corridor to your cell looks more ornate.
