Faced with such an overwhelmingly threatening foe, Sakura began to panic. Logically, she knew she had no hope of beating Marunomi and so she did the only thing she could do. Run.

On instinct, Sakura turned around and bolted away as fast as she could. She felt a good deal of remorse and self-loathing for abandoning her friends, but her fear and survival instincts overrode such emotions. And so she continued to run as fast her legs could carry her.

Unfortunately, Marunomi would not give her up so easily.

"Oh no, you're not getting away from me" Marunomi said. "I'm still hungry."

Suddenly, a long appendage shot out of Marunomi's mouth. It was tongue, stretched out with her elasticity jutsu. The tongue quickly covered the distance between them, heading straight for Sakura.
