Temari's warning came too late. The beam coiled and snaked its way around the trees catching Hinata by surprise. In an instant, the Hyuga was wrapped up and bound by the yellow glowing light.

Hinata let out a cry of distress as a strange energy permeated her body. It felt as if her whole body was broken apart from the inside, though she remained intact. In an instant, her body was bathed in yellow light and she was transmogrified and condensed into a small glowing orb the size of a melon.

"Hinata!" Temari and Sakura cried out.

Marunomi smirked cruelly and yanked her arm back. The beam retracted with the Hinata orb attached to it. The energy beam disappeared right back into the Tongue, leaving behind only the chakra orb, which Marunomi caught with her left hand. She held it up like a precious prize.

"You...What have you done?!" cried Temari in outrage.

"What did you do to Hinata?" Sakura yelled angrily. However, a tremor developed in her voice as she considered the worst. "Don't tell me...is she...?"

"Dead?" Marunomi finished for her, punctuating it with a laugh. "Of course not. Your friend's just taken on a new form." She gazed at the glowing orb longingly and licked her lips. "A new delicious form. Although she won't be alive for much longer. Not after some time in my stomach!"

Marunomi opened her mouth impossibly wide, sticking out her tongue and moved the glowing orb towards it.

"NO!" Sakura and Temari cried out in unison.

But it was too late. Marunomi popped the Hinata orb right inside. With her cheeks puffed out, Marunomi closed her jaw and moved the orb to the back of her throat. She proceeded to swallow it whole, like a hungry snake devouring an egg. The orb briefly bulged out her neck as it passed through her esophagus. One final swallow later, the Hinata orb came to its final resting place; Marunomi's stomach. Marunomi's slender abdomen bulged out as it made room for the newly-devoured Leaf ninja.

"Ah, delicious," Marunomi said, stroking her now bulging belly. "She tasted even better than I had hoped."

Temari and Sakura stood in awe and horror at what they had witnessed. They just saw their friend not only reduced to pure chakra but swallowed whole! Devoured by this crazed cannibalistic ninja who was now looking at their direction.

"So..." Marunomi gave out a hefty burp before looking to both Temari and Sakura with a predatory gaze. "Who's next?"
