My life in a Voraphile's Future - Page 27 - A walk towards the end... - By TheVoreEngineer - Overview
You cannot risk losing your foot, It would make you too much of a target for hungry girls who don't want to have to exercise for a living meal. You begin to slow down as Lauren starts powering ahead of you. You can see shocked expressions not only upon Lauren's face but all your spectators, all of them blissfully unaware of the pain you bear right now. Quickly, Lauren makes a good amount of distance on you, enough to make her look like the winner with some clarity, but you know your foot is a finite thing, that you only get one. The lasting conflict within your mind doesn't help you compete in the race any better, as Lauren gains more distance. You keep your pace up, no matter how slow, leaving you a noticeable gap between yourself and Lauren. Your foot, however, seems to have come good, with the pain you could feel having faded, allowing you to focus your energies on something more constructive once again, winning this race. As you keep walking, you see the girls cheering on Lauren, seeing that with her victory, no teachers will stand in the way of them eating the boys, while you can see the boys at the back, white with fear, already some of the girls taunting them of being nothing more than a slab of meat.

As you approach the finish line ever so more, you notice that Lauren seems to have slowed down, by her own injury or by her own desire to see you lose at the last second, crushing your spirit, you are no longer aware, but you know you have a moment of surprise on the young girl, who thinks your foot is still sore. You keep walking, nearly downgrading it to a hobble to sell your deception while you think. You could attempt to run full force and take her by surprise, you could run it out and hope this advantage is enough, or you could try to keep walking, hoping Lauren will lose focus, allowing you to slip past for your success, or at least if you lose you can request a rematch without injury. But you know you must make a choice soon, Lauren will only buy this act for so long, you can see it in her eyes peering back, they are the eyes of a hungry predator, and they're dead set on you...
