Samantha leaves the orientation and heads out into a courtyard, but all you can tell is that she is moving.
"Okay, now I'm gonna go show you off to my friends for a little while. Do you need anything in there?"
"I'm a little hungry..." you say, knowing only she can hear you.
"Don't worry, after someone you've been unbirthed for about 12 hours, my body will be adjusted to you and you'll receive an umbilical cord. That'll keep you full for as long as I decide to keep you! Just hope the cord isn't purple."
"Wait what? A purple cord? What does that mean?" you ask.
"Hehe, just don't worry. You may find out in time." She says, cackling as she begins to walk again.
"Oh great" you think to yourself. "At this rate, she could keep me forever. And what's the deal with a purple cord?"
Over the next few hours you feel Samantha sitting or walking and talking with her friends, but can only barely make out what her friends are saying. You feel people rubbing her belly a lot, which actually feels nice from your position. After several hours, you feel Samantha lie down, and you assume she's going to sleep. You're getting very hungry at this point, but figure the umbilical cord will reveal itself in time, and decide to go to sleep.
You are awoken in the middle of the night by a sharp pain in your stomach. You look down to see that an umbilical cord has indeed found its way into your belly button.
