The Behemoth’s Tongue hummed with readiness. Marunomi smiled and hauled Hinata to her feet.
“D-d-d-don’t.” Marunomi ignored her.
“It’s ti~ime!” Marunomi pointed the Behemoth’s Tongue at Hinata and activated it.
Hinata smiled grimly. When she saw Marunomi using the Behemoth’s Tongue earlier, she hadn’t merely watched Tenten and Sakura’s transformation in horror, she’d observed just how the chakra flowed within the activated Behemoth’s Tongue. When Marunomi first sat on her, she hadn’t merely flailed about randomly, she used her Gentle Fist technique to rewire the Behemoth’s Tongue’s chakra circuit. Now came the acid test of her abilities, her comprehension, and her wits. The village had bet their lives on her and her comrades; her comrades had already laid down their lives in return. The least she could do was to risk her own.
The beam shot out. Marunomi barely had enough time to look surprised before the beam circled around her. It was Marunomi’s turn to involuntarily cry out as she was transformed into a ball of chakra, roughly twice the radius that Sakura had been.
