The Adventures of Lulu - Page 30 - A Little Hung Up - By Megaladong - Overview
You decide to stick to the trail. Up ahead you run around a sharp turn. You glance back it looks like he still stuck and you are in the clear. A small smile spreads across your face. You turn your head back to face forward to see where you are running, but suddenly all your momentum is stopped. Your hind end is tossed up in to the air by the sudden stop but it too is stopped. You are suspended upside down in the air.
You look around. Oh no, you are stuck in a web. Some spider pokemon must have set up a web across the trail to capture prey. You try to break free but all you do is ring the dinner bell.
"Who have I caught? Umm, yes a little mousey strayed far from home," a soothing feminine voice calls from a tree above.
"Let me go!" You cry out.
"Why? You just got here. Make your self comfortable," a spinarak decends from the shadows. "What do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"
You grunt and try struggling yourself free. It's no use you are fully ensnared.
"It's rude not to answer such a kind host." She looks you up and down, "a female? Usually males of your species get caught in my web. Shouldn't you be back at home being some lucky guys egg factory? That's okay females make a better soup, I think it's the extra fat. Oh but where's my manners? Talking about dinner before I make you comfortable. Is there anything I can do for you?"
"Let me go! I'll shock you!" You flash your sparks.
"Oh I know the perfect thing to get you feeling right at home," the spinarak comes in close, you threaten to shock but she's quick and jabs you right in the side with her horn. A searing pain explodes where the point is. You let out a yell and your energy fades, you are unable to shock anymore. "Don't worry the pain is temporary. It will fade and you will feel all warm and fuzzy and never want to leave." She's right. The pain subsides and turns into warmth. You can feel it spread throughout your body. Your muscles relax you feel weak. You shiver as if you had the flu. "How do you feel now?" She asks.
"Please... let me... let me go," you meekly plead. The poison has made you lethargic.
"After all I've done for you? Treated you so well after you came into my home unannounced? Very well then, you are free to go. I wouldn't want to keep you against your will." She climbs over your suspended body. She quickly works and releases you from her web. You flop on the ground. Could it really be this easy? "Very well then you best scurry along," you slowly get up. The poison makes you weak and you only walk two steps and you collapse on the ground. You try again to get up but it is no use. You lie there helpless on your stomach.
"Oh My!" She says, "you are in no state to travel. You would be scooped up by a pidgeot or be inside an ekens by the end of the night. It would be wrong of me to let you go into such a dangerous world in this way."
"No... plea..."
"I wont take no for an answer. Trust me, many beast out there won't have your best interest. You're lucky I'm around," she hops to the ground next to you. She takes a string from her rear and attaches it to the top of your head. "Don't move a muscle. I'm going to bring you to the top of the tree where no one will interfere with your... stay." The spinarak quickly scurries up her web into the trees. The line attached to your head is still coming from her rear. You lie hopelessly on the ground unable to do anything but cry. Tears stream down your face. Why is this happening to you?
Suddenly, you see four white paws and a switching tail walking down the path toward you. It's the persian, this has been a really bad day. He walks up to you then stands over you for a second, then he lays down right in front of you. His face is only a few inches from yours. His head is the only thing in your field of view. He has a big grin on his face.
He whispers low, "you seem a little hung up, so I'll leave." He gets up to turn around.
"No... pl...pl...please," you want him to help you. Even if he kills you it will be better than the fate you are about to endure.
He sits back down, "what, little pikachu? You want some help?" He pulls out one of his sharp claws and holds it close to the spinarak string, "like this? Or like this?" He brings his claw to your throat. You can feel the claw prick your skin just outside your jugular.
"Pl...please," you don't care which.
He retracts his claw, "you know what I was going to do to you? I was going to jump on your back then reach around and puncture your throat with these," he opens his mouth to show you his fangs better. "It would have been painful but unfortunately short. You would be lucky to last three minutes before you died choking on your own blood. What you did back there pissed me off and that would haven't been a satisfying punishment. But this," he looks up at the string, "this is a much better punishment. What's going to happen to you up there is way worse than I could ever do. And that hurts my pride to say." He smiles ear to ear. You begin sobbing. He says nothing and leans in and starts licking the tears off your face, purring softly. His sandpaper like tongue feels nice but it doesn't calm you down at all.
You feel a tug on the string, a voice calls from above, "sorry for keeping you waiting but I had to tidy up after some previous guest." You begin to be pulled up by the string into the tree.
The persian stops licking you and whispers, "bye, little pikachu." He smiles and turns around. Your feet leave the ground. You are as limp as a rag doll, slowly being pulled up to your fate. You watch the persian walk away slowly. Soon you disappear behind the leaves. You come up into the top of the tree. You are terrified. There are at least five cocoons, each a different size and shape filled with different pokemon. She pulls you towards her. Once close enough she detaches you and hangs you to a branch she is sitting on. She crawls down the string. She climbs all over your body her legs prickling you.
"You are beautiful. So young and full of potential. Your body would be a prize for a strong mate or strong predator."
"Please..." you beg.
"How rude of me. You are obviously not feeling well," she pokes you again with her horn. Some how the pain is twice as bad.
"Chaaaa." You let out a scream. The poison then spreads rapidly and feels like thousands of fire needles poking you. Your begin to shake and shiver. Even though you feel like you are on fire, you are cold. You open your mouth and pant.
"Oh my your fever is getting worse. Come now what you need is rest. You just relax. Let me do all the hard work." She wraps up your hind paws with web. She jumps from you to a near by web. She pulls her string until you are stretched tight between the limb and her web. You are suspended in the air parallel to the ground. She climbs higher into the tree and descends from a string. She detaches herself and reattaches the string to her back. She is hovering just above you. Her legs work you over turning you around and around, a thin silky string begins slowly enclosing you.
She hums as she works. She occasionally stops to prick you with poison. Each time it hurts more but each time you protest less. After the initial pain wears off it feels like you are under a warm blanket. The cocoon is now up to your chest. "That's it, give into the heat. Let it consume you. Hear my voice. Tell me what you want."
"I... want... peace."
"Very good. Peace comes from filling your destiny. What is your destiny?"
"To find... a... a thunderstone."
"You will not find peace there for that is not your destiny."
"What... is?"
"Pleasing me."
" No..."
She jabs you with her horn and pumps you with her poison. The pain is excruciating and you think your heart might stop. She begins humming again and working on your cocoon. After another two long hours, the spinarak works her silk up to your neck. A good breeze comes through the tree and your fur falls out into the wind. It feels like you are melting from the inside out. Your vision blurs you blink and the spinarak turns into your mother. You must be hallucinating.
"Mom?"
"Yes dear?" She responds.
"I'm... scared."
"Don't be, it's okay I'm here."
"I... don't want... to die."
"You won't die you will live on."
"How?"
"As a part of me. As one. You will make me strong and happy. Do you want me to be happy?"
"Yes..."
"Good. We will be happy together," you blink again and your mother turns back into the spinarak. "You know how you will make me happy?" She ask.
"Please... I'll do... anything," you want to make her happy and full.
"The poison I've been giving you breaks your muscles down. Digesting you from the inside out. Another dose and you will perish of heart failure. I will then finish cocooning your body and then add a fluid from my mouth this will help break your body down further eventually turning you into soup. Then I will slurp you up at my pleasure. You will make me happy. Is this what you want?"
"Yes... more than anything," for some reason you actually want this. You think the poison must have ate holes in your brain.
"Such a good little pikachu. You are wise to know your place on the food chain. Fighting fate is foolish."
She jabs you with her horn. This time she leaves the horn in you for a long time. The pain is unbearable but you are too weak to scream in pain. Your body seizes and your heart feels like it will beat out of your chest. You can feel your heart sputter and stop. Your body grows cold. You gasp for air one last time. As your vision fades to black you feel a peace come over you.

The pikachu convulses one last time. Such a sweet thing offering herself to the spinarak. The spinarak looks content. Another day another meal. She finishes cocooning the pikachu and drags her over to the 'kitchen' where she let's her meals stew for a few days. It's a good thing the pikachu came along, it's been a week since the spinarak has had any prey in her net and all she had left was a squirtle that was half consumed already. The other cocoons are empty.
She opens the cocoon. The pikachu is resting nicely looking peaceful. A lovely young thing. Shame really that the pikachu ended like this but the more tragic the story the more delicious the meal.
The spinarak begins secreting a clear acid into the cocoon. Once it is about halfway full. The spinarak closes up the cocoon and shakes it around. It is important to make sure the prey is evenly coated with acid to ensure the best tasting soup.
Every few hours she shakes the cocoon again. The following day she opens the cocoon. The pikachu's fur has fallen out and eyes have melted. The acid has turned a dark red. The spinarak adds more acid and repeats the process for another day.
After three days the spinarak opens the cocoon. Their is no more pikachu just a thick orange sludge. She taste the soup. It is delicious just the way she likes it. She moves the cocoon over to the 'pantry' where she will feast on the soup for days. She pokes a hole in the bottom of the cocoon and sucks the slurry in her mouth. Once she has had her fill she closes the cocoon up.
After three days the cocoon runs dry and she disposes the cocoon in the forest. In the mean time the spinarak had two new visitors. A rattata and a pidgey. Both suffered the same fate as the pikachu.

Thus ending your story. You have been turned in to spider soup and eaten. You even consented to it. You are forgotten by the tribe and even the spinarak as just another meal. You leave no legacy. But hey, at least you were tasty!
