Fairies were something of a delicacy. Certain breeds of them were indigestible, which meant that, if a predator's innards were wide enough, they could pass through any number of times and still come out the other end solid. Some predators enjoyed the feeling. Others liked to use them for other purposes, such as teeth cleaning after a meal, or as a digestive aid.
For those fairies who were sufficiently integrated with society that they found themselves on the wrong side of forks more often than not, some responded differently than others. What demeanor of indigestible fairy will this story follow today?
