Although you are quite securely bound by the wrappings, you can still shift your weight and bend your legs ever so slightly. You aren't sure how much good it will do, but you begin to swing back and forth on the thick strand of silk that tethers you to the ceiling. Falling to your death will probably be a much faster and less painful way to end you imagine.
After a couple minutes, you hearing the unmistakable sound of grinding rocks. The spider must have adhered you to an unstable part of the cave. Motivated by this potential turn of events, you begin to swing even harder. As you reach the apex of one of your motions, you suddenly feel a release of pressure near your feets and have the unmistakable sensation that you are falling. You quietly say your goodbyes and brace yourself for the end...
...but it never comes. Old discarded webs, litering the cavern beneath you, break your fall as you plummet. One of the strands, still sticky, tears away a small swatch of silk that covered your eyes, giving you full vision of the events transpiring. You feel even more disoriented as you watch yourself tumble through the webs until you finally hit the soft ground with a heavy splat. To your immense fortune, you appear to have landed on a thick patch of some sort of moss. Unfortunately, you are still tightly cocooned and still implanted with eggs. While your situation is slightly better, you realise you will have to free yourself and remove the eggs or your fate won't be much different then when you were hanging from the ceiling. As you glance around, you notice a cone shaped rock emerging from a pool of water near the moss. You also notice some sharp looking stones jutting out from an area of the moss down near your feet.
