You dodge to the left of the first plant, passing as close to the wall behind the shelf as you can. Several of the reaching vines slam down against the wood behind you in succession as you sprint by; other vines come at you from above, likely to land on top of you with that same force, only to collide with the wall above you. Slowed somewhat, by the time they hit the ground you’ve gotten passed them.
Still more vines swing around at you from the front. You keep your eyes open for them, and as they swing around you react to dodge them. One comes at the height of your legs… you jump it. Another comes at your neck… you duck it and keep running. One comes for your midsection… you dive over it, land, and roll, and come to your feet out of that first plant’s range.
Your run of the gauntlet is just beginning, though! Even as you’re coming to your feet, the second plant, having felt your approach, reaches vines of its own toward you. These have small, open pods at the end… pods with razor-sharp edges, to slice into anything they latch onto.
