Marunomi walked towards Sakura. Her belly, full of Sakura’s fallen comrades, bounced with each step. She was quite keen to finish things up and partake of the girl’s delicious body, but wondered if perhaps she could have some fun with her first. After all, she had already eaten the Byakugan girl and now there was no one who could stop her.
Sakura, meanwhile, was totally stunned. Faced with the hopelessness of the situation, she was suffering a panic attack. She was all alone, she had only a fair amount of chakra left, and now she was facing down an enemy that easily outclassed her. It seemed the only sensible thing to do was to resign herself to her fate.
Suddenly, Marunomi fired her tongue once again. Sakura didn’t even realize Marunomi had done it until it was already wrapped around her. Sakura knew that this was it. Marunomi would pull her into her mouth, swallow her, and that would be the end. Her, Ino, Hinata, Tenten, Temari; all their careers as ninja – their very lives – would be cut tragically short just to be devoured and digested by some crazed cannibalistic rogue ninja. A single tear escaped her eye.
Sakura then felt the pull of Marunomi’s tongue, but, surprisingly, it didn’t bring her towards Marunomi. Instead, the tongue flung her to side, causing her to crash into a nearby tree. She felt the impact and a surge of pain rushed through her body. She looked up and saw Marunomi, her humongous tongue jutting out of her mouth, and she was smiling. Marunomi was toying with her.
Marunomi, then shifted her head and flung Sakura in the opposite direction, making her collide with another tree. Sakura fell to the ground and then she felt the tongue retreat. She looked up and saw a cackling Marunomi.
“Oh, so sorry dear,” Marunomi said. “Sometimes I just can’t help but play with my food!”
Sakura rose back to her feet and, as soon as she did, Marunomi shot her tongue out again. The tongue struck Sakura in the chest and knocked her right back down. The tongue then grabbed Sakura by her ankle and lifted her up, dangling her in the air. Sakura’s world was literally turned upside down. She felt woozy as her body hung limply in the air.
After thinking for a few seconds, Marunomi had decided that she’d had her fun and used the full prehensility of her tongue to carefully bring the dangling Leaf ninja to her. Sakura saw that she was being brought closer to Marunomi and, soon, she was hanging right over her head. Marunomi turned to face up, opened her mouth wide, and slowly lowered Sakura towards it. Sakura was dazed and completely nonresistant.
“Don’t worry, sweetie,” Marunomi said. “You just relax and let yourself go into your big sis Marunomi’s warm embrace.”
