Suddenly, your eyes open, and you're looking across the office, from the nurses' desk. You stand up, and walk over to the mirror, only to find that the reflection of Patty stares back at you.
"*gasp* Oh no, it didn't work!" you say, realizing that the voice that says it is your voice, not Patty's.
'I knew it. I cast the spell just slightly off, and now we've swapped places.' you hear Patty's voice say in your mind.
You smile. At least you're both still here, well that and your former body, now slowly being absorbed in your intestines.
'Patty, someday I'll figure out a way to reverse the spell. But for now, I've gotta make sure that the Enforcers don't ever find out about this.' You say directly to Patty.
Immediately, Patty replies 'Actually, this is fine. Somehow, the spell has made the previous enchantment permanent; we'll never separate no matter how much energy is used. Plus, now we have a shared intelligence; you know what I know, and vice versa. I can't think of a better bond, a more loving bond.'
You grin, and begin to assume your duties as the nurse. It isn't long before it is just normal routine, and having conversations with Patty just as if she were right there beside you. Happy? That doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of describing how you feel...
