You know from the moment your eyes open that a great change has affected your body, your very frame feels different and even as you look up at the sky in fear of what you’ll see your hands betray you and explore your figure.
Starting at your face you feel nothing but smooth skin but as your hands move further down you begin to feel the change, your clothing is the first thing you notice. Your clothes, where once they covered your frame, have gone leaving your hand to move over the curve of your chest and across your bare tummy.
Your skin is smooth like that of a pearly, your body so far seems normal spare the lack of clothing covering your cold body.
As your hands move to where your hips begin you gasp, where once smooth began something far different continued. As warm as your skin, perhaps warmer, you began to realize that this strange material covered the rest of your body from the waist down, scales.
Running your hands across the scales you can feel the difference between them and the skin and while it is not unpleasant it nevertheless takes a moment to grow accustomed to them.
It is not the scales themselves that has shocked you but rather the fact that you can’t wriggle your toes, you don’t have toes anymore. In fact, you don’t even have legs, you have one powerful tail stretching from your hips and nothing more. You can feel it move at your command and it moves with a grace as if you had been born with it.
Finally deciding to look down at your form you finally realize what you are.
