Shit! If there where any X Parasites infecting the escaping Pirates, they could be anywhere in the universe! Quickly, you blast your way through to the main research facility. You desperately hope that the escapees were not infected. That would be a bitch to clean up...
Something disturbs you. You realize that you haven't encountered any X. Were there any Metroids on board? If there were, did they break free and devour the X? The creatures and injured Pirates you've killed haven't reverted to X form, or shown signs of infection. As you enter the main research facility, you see something that takes you completely off guard.
