The Accidental Adventurer - Page 6 - Oops... missed it. - By KavenBach - Overview

You throw yourself toward a vine hanging to your left… but it’s too far.  Your flailing hands miss it by inches, and you find yourself falling…

With a painful thump, you land in the moss.  It absorbs most of the impact of your fall, but you lie there dazed for a few seconds.

Suddenly you remember what you saw that plant do before… and that you decided the moss is the trigger.  You stagger to your feet.

Too late.  Even as you’re standing up, a slick, powerful green tendril wraps around your upper body, pinning your arms to your sides and crushing your poor breasts painfully.  You gasp in pain as you feel the thing lift you off the ground… then you gasp again as another green tendril wraps tightly around your thighs.

Suddenly you feel yourself being pulled in two directions.  Your eyes and mouth open wide in shock and pain, but you don’t manage to make any sound; you try to squirm, but the tendrils are holding you too securely.  You’re utterly helpless…

In horror you realize that two of the large flowers both reached for you… and that they are now involved in a tug-of-war over which of them gets to eat you!

In a way, you’re lucky.  They are very strong and have a very good grip, whereas your body isn’t quite so solid… so with a horrible sound you rip in half, your waist and legs going one way and your head and torso going the other.  Your entrails unwind quickly and snap, and your two halves are each pulled into one of the flowers.

You find your upper body plunged into a thick, sweet-smelling liquid inside the plant.  In agony and already half-dead, even though the plant lets go of your body you can’t pull yourself to the surface to breathe… not that you could with the muscles in your stomach gone.

Before very long, your broken body stops trying to live, ending your pain and becoming nothing more than meat for the plant to digest.  Over the next few weeks, even months, the giant plant will slowly break you down and absorb your nutrients.  In a year or so even your bones will have dissolved.

Well, at least you were kind enough to share.
