You decide to head left, into the part of the river that seemed to be churning with activity, you figured that getting to the first clue would not be made easy for you, and so you'd have to brave some sort of test, rapids, whirlpools, or waterfalls for example. You, however were wrong, the disturbance was not geological, no abnormalities in the river, you were mortified to see a Squirtle and a Wartortle hunting in the water.
You watched in horror, unknowingly drifting slowly towards the two turtle Pokemon, as the Squirtle lifted a small Magikarp out of the river, opening her maw wide, you could make out strands of gooey saliva linking her top and bottom lips. She happily pushed the fish Pokemon down her gullet, and you observed something you never would have guessed was possible, the collar of her shell expanded to accommodate the Magikarp, small pieces of stretchy skin connecting the hard, chitinous shell, allowing it room to expand, clearly this was Squirtle's way to digest live prey. As you were thinking about this, the Magikarp was reduced to little more than a small bulge in her shell, gurgling happily. Meanwhile, the Wartortle had caught something a little bigger, and was now doing something rather odd. She was sticking a Seaking, horn first, into her tailhole, you could clearly see brown stains from Wartortle's scat smearing Seaking's scaly body. Her shell was also expanding to welcome her new "meal". You could only imagine the Seaking's horror as its body was coated in a thick layer of Wartortle waste. Soon the Seaking was also just a wiggling bulge under a shell.
Before you can notice, you are between the two full turtles, however, neither is likely to pass on a free desert, after all, compared to their main courses, you were tiny, yet hopefully still tasty, they both dove at you, maws agape, there was no escape for you, the only question was, which maw closed around you?
