Realm of Exesus - Page 63 - An Admirable Resolve... - By Battalia - Overview
With a hearty chuckle the demon relaxes her tails pull on Garin's neck. "An admirable resolve my slave. However, this means that you are useless to Eris." She shakes her head slowly as if in remorse. "Let it be known that Eris has accomplished the first task. And the next... pliable... slave will be afforded to her." Garin can feel Eris' heated gaze on him. Like he had wronged her somehow.

"However, it would be a waste not to enjoy a toy that so desperately desires to be broken. I believe I will take him for myself as tribute. Claire, you may have the other with my blessing as a reward for your services. Summon me again when we have found a suitable replacement for this... disappointment." The demon smiles but there is nothing friendly about it. With a snap, Garin feels the heat of the fire behind him raise in intensity, it's warmth washing over his bare back. To his surprise, the demon walks past him towards it. With a yank of her tail, Garin is pulled onto his back and drug along the ground by his neck. The tightness has now restricted his wind pipe and he claws at her tail trying to pry it loose to no avail. Flames now dance around his body as she pulls him into the roaring fire, agony racing along his head and back from the unbearable heat. But to Garin's surprise it quickly cools. That is when he realized hes now looking at a portal in the flames. one that the demon has dragged him through. A sparkle shines from the pendant right as the portal is closed with another snap of the demons fingers. Garin feels like he has made a terrible mistake.

"Now... Gavin was it?" The demon now stands directly above Garin, her long legs standing as pillars to the vision. She relaxes her grip on his neck allowing Garin to finally breath in the hot air causing him to cough. He had never been exposed to such hot air before, it was nearly as suffocating as not breathing.
