The woman grinned. "I'll let Naida handle this one."
Naida squirmed a little beside Garin, casting her glance at the ground. So there is another side to his dominant serpent Garin thought. With a sigh she finally met Garin's questioning look. "The realm has only one law; you may not eat anyone from a different species. To do so would fracture the realm and invite war into the land again. We may eat our own kind, but every species in the realm has their own laws and punishments in this regard. If we eat another creature... we are bound to this amulet until it is delivered to the white towers. Something that is near impossible to happen... Essentially I'm banished from the realm. But that's where you come in pet!" Naida smiles and brushes against Garin's arm. "I chose you for a reason. I know you can do it!"
The mysterious woman finally chimes in. "So there you have it. A lost boy bonded with a blood thirsty serpent. What could go wrong?" She chuckled to herself. "Is there another question you had in mind?"
