"Use your lightning bolts against her! I'll go into melee and try keeping her at bay with my speed... Then when I'll see an opening I'll use my fire blade technique!" Totomo ordered, jumping back into battle. You nodded and began invoking the spell, your heart racing with excitement and fear. You knew you couldn't just throw any old lighting bolt at this opponent: to defeat her you had to cast down divine wrath onto her. From the deepest recesses of your soul, you gathered as much mana as you could, your fingers crackling with energy.
On the other side, your ninja friend was doing a good job keeping Alyson distracted. She danced around her opponent, artfully dodging her every attack. The alligator gal was inhumanely fast, but Totomo was even faster! "Ggrrr, come here you little pest!" The larger woman barked, annoyed at her inability to squash this evasive bug. Once every ounce of energy you had was gathered into the palm of your hand, you reared back and threw the bolt with all your strength. *CCcrrrkkrrrwww!!!* The gator woman barely managed to jump out of the way, the blast incinerating a bookshelf behind her. This was the opening Totomo was waiting for, taking advantage of her foe's clumsy dodge, she positioned herself to deliver a powerful blow.
"Take that bitch, rising phoenix!" The ninja shouted as she hit Alyson with her blazing sword. You caught but a glimpse of the massive woman's incredulous expression before she was engulfed in a raging inferno. *SSSwwwooossshhoowww!*
"Yes!" You happily exclaimed when suddenly... *Bbammmfff!" Emerging from the flames, the reptilian gal delivered a meteor-like punch to Totomo's midsection, a shockwave exploding around the room. Your expression shifted from celebratory to sheer horror in a mere second. The ninja had let her guards down after executing that technique, a fatal mistake. In shock from the massive blunt force trauma, she dropped her weapon and fell to her knees, defeated. The gator woman laughed, reveling in her opponent's pain.
"Congratulation, that actually hurt! I haven't had a good challenge in quite a while, too bad it looks like its over now!" She commented, picking up the cat girl. Her clothes were almost completely torn and burnt, but the rest of her looked mostly alright. At this point you were shaking in fear, that chunky gator gal K.Oed your partner with a single punch! You had basically exhausted all of your mana on that one blast and there's no way you could take down this monster in physical combat! This was bad... this was very bad... In desperation, you reached for the two potions you acquired earlier... It was a long shot, but you had nothing else to loose at this point.
