The streets are still chaos, but at least it will be harder for something to sneak up on you out in the open like this. You look around quickly. Less than 10 feet away, some sort of shaggy-furred ogre is holding a human by the hair. You can’t see the human clearly, but if you can break the ogre’s grip, the human might have a chance of escaping.
Of course, you could just run while the monster is distracted...
