"Stars Align" seemed to stick out to you somehow. You blurted it out almost excited. "I really like stories too" said Leo his tone of voice going from excited to let down, "but this one is kind of vague. I don't know if you'll like it." You shook your head, "I always like a good mystery." You noticed a twinkle in his eye as he perked up, "well, I guess that makes you a connoisseur”.
The three of you gather around as Leo starts, "This one is about three travelers that knew little about each other at first, but grew into very close friends very fast. They all had one thing in common that doesn't happen very often. That thing they have in common was also troubling them. They searched for clues to figure out how to solve their problem. They went to locations of their childhood even though they grew up far apart. Their solution had something to do with the stars.”
There was a long pause until Norm spoke up, “Leo? Was that it?” Leo nodded, “I’m sorry to disappoint you, but yes.” Norm could see the grimace on Leo’s face, but came up with a white lie, “It’s still a good story. It had… an air of mystery to it.” Leo perked up again, clueless about his friend’s disappointment. You were still curious and asked him, “Were there any other details? What was their trouble? Who or what were they?”
Leo shook his head, “My mom told me the whole point was not to know. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be much of a mystery.”
Leo yawned and curled up on a nearby stump. “All this story telling is making him sleepy” Norm mentioned quietly, “There won’t be any predators around this area. They’re scared that a guardian of some sort will devour them first if they enter.” “Guardian? Who’s that?” You ask him. “A legendary pokemon that pities the defenseless” He replied, “nobody knows who, but predators fear its existence anyway.”
You and Norm start to yawn. A thought crosses your mind though. You and Leo share some things in common. Maybe you should ask Norm if he does too.
