It crossed your mind that you could defuse this situation. But your plan would involve taking White and Autumn's place. With a sigh, you nod away from everyone else, "Filo. I need you to come over here."
You led the confused Arcanine a short distance away, then began whispering, "Filo... I want you to eat me in their place," when she predictably recoiled, you added before she was say anything, "I know it sounds strange, but I... I'm worried that you may accidentally hurt then more than you think you will. Especially while angry. But... I trust you won't hurt me."
"How would that be a punishment to them."
"Because you are going to let them go, eat me, then act like you did all that to make a point. Like I offended you with our whispering just now. Everyone knows you like me more than the others and probably don't think you'd hurt me. If you're willing to even eat me, then it'll make everyone realize they can't get away with stuff like that anymore."
Filos scowled, then whispered back, "But that's punishing you, not them. You did nothing wrong."
"Exactly. I did nothing wrong, which is why you'd let me go later. But it still makes a point. Even I am not safe from your punishment. That meaning they are definitely not. Understand?" You finally ask, hoping she goes with the plan. You weren't sure if Autumn and White would last if she didn't.
