Page 1: American Beef: Choose Your Cut (Context & Rules)
You're a new resident who's just arrived in the the town of Fintan which is dominated by centaurs, bucentaurs (bovine taurs), and a variety of other other human and non-human residents like catfolk, nagas, usagi, harpies, and more. This story is based on the lore of my story American Beef and by extension Legend of Peran and also Little Lamia in the Big City, but this interactive story is not necessarily canon to any of those tales. Include whatever characters you want as long as they fit in!

Setting:
Fintan is a fictional and built-up version of Lakeview, Idaho that was first inhabited by its new non-human residents in 2003. Since then, the town has grown to a bustlimg community that is at least as big as the neighboring town of Bayview.
A wide variety of people live in Fintan, including humans, but the town is most famously known for its population of centaurs and bucentaurs. Demi-humans are also very common, but taurs have a majority here like Nexus does for nagas.
Although magic exists in this world, it is inaccessible to most people. Taurs are especially disinclined to practice magic, but you can still occasionally find a good alchemist to sell you healing potions or transformation potions for a price. Anything more than that is usually out of the question.
Vore exists and is known about by most non-humans, but crimes like assault and murder are still very illegal. Predators don't want to get caught doing vore in public, so they will take measures to avoid detection.

Rules:
- Always proof read your work.
- Competent adult English is required for all contributions. Submissions with excessively bad spelling or lazy grammar/punctuation will be removed.
- Don't use God Options. For interactive stories, that means don't give branching choices that control things that your character can't control.
- Excessively branching pages will be removed. Do not add more options than is necessary.
- No forcing gender changes. This also means don't be rude by surprise-changing another character's gender without the player's consent.
- The player character is assumed to be human or near-human at the start of the story, but avoid specific details about appearance. Maybe people want to imagine they're a furry or a catboy or whatever.
- Dead-end pages will be deleted. Game Over pages must link back to the start.
- Avoid one-line pages. Those are boring. Sometimes they are necessary but don't be lazy.
- The story is written in present tense, and in 2nd person. If you don't know what that means, don't contribute. If you need something for people to call you, "new guy" or "new girl" or "new person" are all examples of good alternatives. Earning a nickname is fine too, if it makes sense.
- Proof read your work before posting it. We live in an age with spell check, so use it. Yes I know I already said this. I am drilling it into your brain.
- Any images embedded in the story can only be included with express permission by the owner, and the image must have a link to its original source—preferably as a gallery entry here on Eka's. If you cannot get permission, you are not allowed to embed it, but you can still hotlink to the image's original source for reference.
- Just so you know, I might adopt characters from this story into my main series! I love bringing in fan characters, but it can be extremely hard to keep track of who introduced who since there's a lot of pages written by many people, so don't use characters who have any existing copyrights unless I have permission to use them! And if I do, but don't credit you, reach out to me. I'll at least mention I took the character from here if I don't know who made them.
- Finish what you started. When contributing to the story, try to write your way to at least one new ending. This isn't strictly required, but it helps this story not just be another interactive slop submission with a million branching options and yet no actual endings.
Last of all, not a rule but just something to know; not all of the branches necessarily have to interact with the same characters in the world or occur at the same times. A lot of the intros are similar because those are just the ideas I had at the time or because someone else wrote out similar plotlines, but you don't need to follow them exactly. Each branching choice is its own storyline.
