"No! Now get out of my way, loser," you tell the pathetic vulpix.
The vulpix rolls over, gets up, and moves out of your way. He looks sad and dejected. You start walking away.
He mumbles, "she's as good as dead now."
You snap around, "what was that?!"
He looks surprised you heard him, "uh... nothing." He awkwardly smiles.
"You just said, I'm as good as dead. What do you mean by that?"
"Oh, uh..." his awkward smile changes to a devious grin. "It's just, I know what's up ahead and you could use my help. But since we're not a team it's every Pokémon for himself, right?"
You are done playing games. You rush up to him just like you did before. "Tell me or I'll shock the shit out of you!"
He winces but he must have grown a pair of balls because he stands his ground and says, "sorry Lulu. Looks like you're going to be food unless you've changed your mind about us being a team."
He could just be bluffing. What do you do?
