Sheets were soon passed around. Aaron watched as each player accepted one, the sheet flashing, their eyes glazed over, and a smaller version of them showed up on the table. The table showed some sort of forest.
"Is this safe?" he asked.
"Aside from the occasional nightmare, it's very safe," the orc next to him said, as they accepted a sheet. There was a flash, and their eyes glazed over, like the others.
Aaron carefully accepted a sheet, and watched as it flashed, filling things out.
Next thing he knew, Aaron was in the forest, with the others. He checked himself over. He wore no armor, was armed with a shortsword, and not much else.
The minotaur came up to them, dressed like a rogue. "Let's see what you are. Turn your right wrist over, as the underside has your character sheet."
Aaron did this.
The minotaur chuckled. "A monk with the Chef Feat. Extra healing and HP."
Aaron looked at it. "I think that I would of preferred Inspiring Leader."
"An extra d8 worth of healing during a short rest can come in handy," said the lizardperson. They looked like a wizard.
"Okay," the orc, who looked like an armored fighter, said. "Let's do a bit of sparring. Shake your off-hand to roll the dice, or your head if need be, and the result will be what happens."
"How is that going to work?" Aaron said.
The orc chuckled as they cracked their knuckles. "I got the Unarmed Fighting Style. Let's see how well you do."
