Dungeons and Monsters Interactive - Page 227 - Buying Bow and Arrows - By alockwood1 - Overview
"Why would we need to buy a longbow and a quiver full of arrows?" Susan asked. "We can just use mine."

Cody chuckled. "True," the skunk said. "But if I know James, resource management, such as for food, is going to be a part of the campaign, and let me tell you, a deer that was killed by magic or other special abilities produces meat that, shall we say, doesn't taste quite as good as those killed by more mundane means."

"Oh, okay," said Susan.

The pair went to a store and picked up a longbow and a quiver full of arrows. They had more than enough from the prior bounty.

They then went to the archery range.

"So, any special rules for the contest?" Susan asked, as she looked at the targets, which looked like the usual big circles with smaller ones inside, until there was a bullseye.

"Depends on what you want to shoot for," said Cody. "How about, 10 arrows, Most Points and Most Arrows on the target?"

"What if we tie?" Susan asked.

Cody chuckled. "Best of three."

"And if we still tie?" Susan asked.

Cody grinned. "Sudden Death."

"Still tie?"

"Then, the fun starts."
