Morning eventually came, and Trudy yawned as she awoke. She patted her belly, causing Goldie to wake up as well.
"Morning Goldie," the vixen said. "Time to let you out."
"Bathroom, and get me some clean clothes," said Goldie.
Trudy chuckled. "Of course." As she got up, she looked at a heart-shaped necklace on the bed stand, the one she'd placed there the night before. "Do you know anything about this necklace?"
"Other than it belonged to my biological parents, not much," said Goldie. "The police and firefighters found it in the house. It only felt right for me to have it, along with whatever was intact."
"Understood," said Trudy. "Now, let's take care of you."
