Bertha had been ecstatic to find out that she'd been selected as one of the 100,000 Anthrons selected to go to Earth. It wasn't every day that one was selected to act as a representative for one's own planet, and get stationed upon another. She'd been initially worried after the issues involving the overly eager Host Families that had just, basically, picked up their humans ahead of schedule - she didn't know if she'd get to visit the other planet or not.

Thankfully, things had been smoothed over, and now, she could represent Anthron on Earth.
