“You little rodent” Eggman taunted while descending in his eggmobile. "I was expecting you to be here somewhere, but I did not think that you would be alone. Where is your little sidekick?"He teased "Don’t want him to see your demise?”
“Had to take care of another pressing issue and I left him at home. I don’t need his help to defeat you.” Sonic stated as if it were a fact. He got into a battle ready position for what is to come next.
Tails was not sure how to handle this new information. Sonic did not need his help as if it was a natural thing. How many times has he saved the hedgehog’s life? How many times did Sonic not listen to him and made the situation worse? Of course he could also be a bit tired from all the effort of getting in Sonic’s balls talking, but he still had a point.
“Well then don’t mind if I try out my newest creation on you.” Eggman proclaimed as he pushed a button on his console. Suddenly a port opened on the front of the machine and output what looked to be a cannon.
“oh and what does your new toy do this time?” Sonic challenged.
“You will see if you stand still!” Eggman shouted while activating it. A burst of energy rocketed at Sonic at unprecedented speed, but the hedgehog dodged it; Shaking Tails up a bit in the process.
“Nah, I’m good with not knowing. Makes it more fun.”
