Jack decided that in the plains there are more chances to meet representatives of the local fauna, so he flew north. An hour later he saw this plain. Jack decided to land on the edge of this plain and then go on foot.
Soon he found a small clearing, and planted a ship. Dressing in a coat of carbon nanotubes, taking with them a small knife and a pistol just in case, Jack went outside.
At first glance you might think that you are on Earth: ordinary green grass, ordinary trees: oaks, birches, etc.
"Can not be..."
But the scan showed that these are the most common plants studied a thousand years ago. "Well, at least you can walk without a helmet." Jack thought. He decided to go further, and find out what is going on here...
Then something happened that simply did not fit in his head: he went out on the road. Not on a huge multi-lane highway of superconductors, but on a small dirt road that disappeared from the Earth 1 1/2 thousand years ago.
Jack just stood and tried to understand what's what and where he is. Then he checked his implants, but they were okay, so this is not a hallucination.
