Just an hour after the young woman who ate her for lunch left the restaurant, Flo was more or less liquefied inside of her tummy. Stomach acids, enzymes, and a lot of churning had turned her and the eaten sushi into a consistent mush. Yet after coming apart inside of her belly, Flo was a bit surprised to see her consciousness still there, following along with her remains as they gently sloshed around.
What might be called Flo's soul hung around in the girl's stomach for another hour or two, watching her rhythmic digestion, before the remains slowly began to drain out with some loud gurgles. Flo briefly wondered what was happening. She had spent her entire life in fear of being eaten. Now that it had happened, and she had been digested... well, she didn't really think about what came after that. Why should she?
Whether or not she was prepared for the answer, it was forced upon her when Flo found herself - or what was left of her - sliding through the girl's intestines. Of course... she thought. This was where food ended up after it left the stomach, after all... and she was food.
