Grabbing the flashlight from the porch railing, you walk down the path to the forest, towards the sound. If those kids from the city were camping in the forest near your land, you would make sure they left.
Flicking on the light, you found yourself at a decision. The cleared path continued into the forest before turning left, and a rough trail turned right. Going straight led into the untamed forest, no trail or road to follow.
The howl came again, closer, but you couldn't tell which direction it was from.
