As Marunomi's eyes surveyed the three kunoichi with a combination of rage and hunger, they eventually settled on Tenten. She looked at the two buns on her head that reminded her of cream buns. And the rest of the girl looked pretty tasty. Not to mention there was the fact that she had managed to restrain her twice; quite a nuisance. That settled it. She was going to eat her.
Wasting no time, Marunomi dashed right towards the Leaf ninja with a burst of speed. Tenten, having just recovered from being tossed through the air by the rogue ninja, could only hold up her arms defensively, bracing herself for whatever attack Marunomi might throw at her. Unfortunately, she could never have anticipated what Marunomi would do next.
Once Marunomi was at point blank range, her velocity slowed down considerably and then, quite astonishingly, her mouth opened impossibly wide. So wide in fact that Tenten's head could easily fit inside. This new development had been so surprising to Tenten that she could think of no recourse. She could only stand stunned as Marunomi's large maw lunged down and engulfed her.
"Tenten!" Sakura and Temari cried.
With the Leaf ninja securely in her mouth, Marunomi grabbed the sides of Tenten's body and then began to shove more of the girl into her as she swallowed her head. Tenten, for her part, was still perplexed as to what was even happening. Finding herself now in this hot, wet, and dark environment, she came to the basic realization that was being eaten and she instinctively began to struggle, however futile it may have been.
Still feeling quite ravenous, Marunomi made short work of the girl, swallowing up her chest and waist and legs, barely noticing the meager resistance Tenten put up. Soon, all that remained were Tenten's feet and, with one decisive gulp, Marunomi swallowed those down as well. The last of Tenten made the quick journey through Marunomi's esophagus and then settle inside her stomach.
As her body was met with the familiar sensation of fullness, Marunomi's rage began to subside. She groped the sides of her belly, which had doubled in size, now with a full human being inside of it. Marunomi sighed and began to rub the bloated sphere, feeling great relief.
"Ahh, much better," she said.
She let out a deep burp and her stomach grumbled in turn as it let out the gas and adjusted to the size of its new meal.
Sakura and Temari, meanwhile, stood stunned in horror. It had all happened so fast and their minds could still barely register the idea that their friend could be eaten alive by the rogue ninja, and thus they could do nothing as Tenten had vanished before their eyes. As if to make the message clearer, Marunomi swerved around, exposing her engorged belly to the two kunoichi. There was no doubt about it. Tenten had been eaten and now she was trapped inside Marunomi's obscenely large abdomen. And now, with just the two of them left, Sakura and Temari were left to wonder what to do next.
