Hinata witnessed the entire scene from a safe distance at her hiding spot. She watched on closely as her Byakugan continued to show her the inside of Marunomi's body. What caught her eye first was the contents of Marunomi’s large stomach, which were two large bright orbs and the compacted and still bodies of Sakura and Temari. This shook Hinata a little before she began to regain her composure.
"Got to stay focused. Mustn't let this get to me. My friends are still alive...for now at least. I got to find a weakness! Everyone's counting on me to end this!"
Returning to the task at hand, Hinata observed Marunomi’s entire chakra pathway system; the network that distributed chakra throughout the body.
"I could target one of those nodes. With her enormous size, finding them on her body would be easy enough. Maybe..."
But as Hinata pressed on, what she saw truly astounded her.
"Marunomi's chakra system and the nodes...they're all there, but it seemed that they were all being protected by some kind of buffer; no doubt the jutsu that gives Marunomi her rubbery skin. There's no way that I would be able to hit any of them! But there must be one that's vulnerable. There's got to be..."
Hinata continued to press on, looking all around Marunomi’s body for any possible weakness. Just as it seemed that Marunomi had the ultimate defense, Hinata found it. One spot where there was a chakra node that was not being protected.
"Yes there it is! The node! Now all I have to do is determine how to...!"
Hinata's thoughts froze as she saw the reality of her situation. Panic began to run through her body saw the problem; the node's location. The unprotected chakra node which was to be Marunomi's weakness was located above her stermum; right above the rogue ninja's large round stomach. It seemed that Marunomi’s meal of ninjas had not only given her a chakra boost, but protection from her one vulnerable spot.
"N-No! There's no way I could get to the node! If her stomach was flat it would be an easy task. Now..."
Yes, Hinata was not really sure if it was possible anymore. Marunomi’s stomach is an enormous mass of flesh guarding her unprotected node. In order to hit it, Hinata would have to hit the crevice between Marunomi’s breasts and stomach and penetrate fairly deep into her skin. She would have to hit in that exact spot for it to work.
It not only seemed to be an impossible task but rather suicidal.
"Th-There's no way that I would be able to hit the node! To be able to free the girls and...!"
Hinata's near frantic thoughts were soon cut off as shouts of Marunomi erupted towards her direction in sadistic glee, "~Oh little Hyuga. Where are you, my little delicious treat?~"
Hinata froze as the cannibalistic ninja's voice echoed throughout her surroundings.
