You are surprised to find yourself transported to a rather trendy-looking mall. It looks like a great place to pick up some new clothes, grab some ice-cream or blow some quarters at the arcade. All the lights are on, the displays are up and the escalators by the lobby are on, but no one appears to be here. At, least that’s how it appears, but as you take a step forwards, a young woman in a school girl outfit and headband steps out to meet you.
She gives a cheerful wave. “Hi there! I’m Sakura. Guess you’re my next opponent, huh?”
You smile, feeling a little awkward. “Yeah. I’m Yuri.”
“Pleased to meet you! I like your outfit.”
You feel a little guilty about trying to turn this girl into a snack. Under different circumstances, you’re sure you and this girl could be good friends. You give a sheepish grin and bow. “A pleasure to meet you as well. I’m afraid I’m going to have to eat you now.”
Sakura gives a cocky grin and takes her stance. “You’re welcome to try, but I’m not going to make it easy for you.”
Moving in tandem, you and Sakura each hurl a blast of ki.
“Hadouken!” cries Sakura.
“Ko’oken!” you shout.
The blasts collide in a burst of light and explode. Sakura leaps forwards, launching a twirling kick. You duck the kick, and launch a roundkick of your own at Sakura’s ribs. Sakura blocks the blow, and draws her fist back for a massive upper-cut, but you roll out of the way, then fires a series of three flying kicks. Sakura ducks and you sail over her head, then fires another Hadouken at you, but you hold up your hands, summoning a ball of ki, and negate the blast.
You are both warming up now. Sakura seems to be a very rounded fighter, like yourself, and her ki manipulation might even be stronger than your own.
Sakura rears back her hands, preparing an immense blast of ki. How will you respond?
