"Um," I said, "perhaps there's been a misunderstanding."
"Coo," said the pigeon.
"You don't intend to eat me, right?" I said.
"Coo," said the pigeon.
"You're just here for the popcorn, right?"
The pigeon seemed to consider this for a second, then turned to me.
"Caaw!" it suddenly cried.
