The usual problem people have is with the non-unicode language settings. Try reading the FAQ linked to below. Remember that you must have your non-unicode language set to Japanese before you unzip the files, not just when you play the game.

It's not Ryonasaga but RyonaRPG.(another game, which is based on RPGMaker2000)
You have to install RTP of RPGMaker2000.
If you want to play Ryonasaga, download core0048.7z, unzip, (download English patch and put it in Language folder) and execute "ryonasaga_090927DXL302.exe".

Ok i got a question ya see i just recently formatted the hard drive on my cpu (twas giving me multiple probs) and now ryonasaga wont play in fullscreen and yes i went into the startdata folder and went into option_S.txt and changed FullScreen = 0 to FullScreen = 1, all that happens is the actual game screen is as small as its windowed form and the rest is filled with a black border, how do i change this?????

In FreeBattle, press left or right key to narrow the list down with enemytype.
Now many creators added many many enemies, they are like a flood.
That's why I added a new function.

EDIT: Sorry but I found a bug in up3799.zip, so I re-uploaded as up3800.zip. Please use newer one.

Hi all, i found this game really nice so i started search for the latest version possibly with a translation.

I was able to find the latest version and download but not the english translation for the game (dont know if there is one already or one can use the old translation on the new game) so i started to translate the rev 842.

For all the one that want to give it a shot i created an installer that you can download here:

TerdBurgler here. I'm a long-time RyonaSaga fan and a first-time Eka poster. All this time I've been lurking around this website, updating my own game as well as learning a few tricks along the way. I started off with a few sprite edits for my own personal use ( many of which I found were already done here ^_^; ) and now I've moved into working on my own playable character. Here are just a few of the sprites I've come up with so far. Yes, I know, she's a furry. The way I see it, there are already tons of anthro antagonists in the game. It's about time we get an anthro protagonist.

These are all custom-made sprites of my OC, Linda Wright. Let me know what you think of them so far. I'll keep you guys updated as the project comes along and ideally, this will make it all the way to being a player that can be integrated into the game. I even have my own voice acting for it! Looking good, and already at 200x200 pixels. Background/transparency might be a problem, especially with the solid black in the Nightmare animation. I suggest using something slightly off black for the background. Also, for attacking, think about the attacks you want your character to use, see how they play out in the game with other characters, and design the sprites around that. The current attack animation doesn't look like she's reaching out to hit anyone.

Overall, the artwork is quite good and I think she'll make an excellent addition. I look forward to seeing more of your project.
