Well if anatomy has any bearing in your character design then she's a dolphin by the very shape and position of the tail. Dolphin tails are symmetrical and are horizontal. Sharks have vertical tails and the top tends to be longer and wider than the bottom.
One could also argue why not both as far as I know dolphysoul has never stated her characters lineage. Therefore it stands to reason it could be that one of her parents is a shark and one is a dolphin. *laughs maniacally as they throw a monkey wrench in the debate gears and runs off.*

Look at the shape of the tail. The fin is positioned to go up-and-down, as a dolphin's does. As opposed to a shark's, which goes side-to-side. Sharp teeth and a white underbelly does not equal shark.
