i remember playing halo and there was a cave with fleshy walls and in an alien franchise game there was a hive to much the same theme.

where does it count as being a coating on the walls or actually inside a living being because to the observer they're the same thing.

Method of entry, and what's under the meat?

If it's a building, like the Gravemind from one of the games, it might not count as endo/vore, since it's closer to wall decoration.

Now if the building became incorporated such that it was a living creature, rather than what TV Tropes calls "Meat Moss", that might count. It's rather a fuzzy line though.

Another Video Game

"Moonlight Pulse" is a metroidvania-type endo-themed game set on the insides of Aorasque, an enormous turtle. You basically get free rein to go all over the inside of said turtle, using the blood vessels to hitch a ride.

Unfortunately, being a metroidvania-type game, it's not that anatomically accurate, and the parts don't move most of the time, but just for certain stages. For example, there's stages set on and in Aorasque's heart, and while the one on the outside of the heart shows it beating, the one on the inside is about as static as you would expect for a platformer.
