i was thinking about doing this exact thing with this game, one of my fav vore games. i even modded the original java version recently to allow point and click controls and godmode option. plus a sub menu when you hold down left click

Nomad is still not dead!
Update alpha 2.

You can check the changelog for the full breakdown. The big thing?
bug fixes, the sudden inundation of people after alpha 1 to the discord gave me enough playtesters to hunt down and beat to death dozens of bugs. We've also been able to refine some gameplay and game balance issues.
But a quick summary of some of the new features/content:
Spoiler: show

new spacecraft, the heavy is now available on am 2.
new enemies, raptor huntress, void zetamorph, spaceshark
more breastvore and ctf content
more content in general, new scenes with huntress, void zeta, spaceshark

the plan going forwards:
Each month will have a numbered release on the forum. Each week there will be lettered releases in the interim on the discord. Hopefully there will be a steady flow of content each month going forwards though additional content contributors and people willing to help port content from old java nomad would make that easier.
My todolist is at the moment to add SOS functionality for the spaceship when you run out of fuel or such, and to add a 'surprise' when you sleep in the spacehulk . Polls will be featured on the discord that will direct my future endavours, though only once my current todolist is exhausted.

Some of the portraits don't seem to apply to their character. Zin's for instance doesn't seem to work (for me at least). And some things fix certain png's, like changing Golden_Raptor to Gold_Raptor, but for Zin nothing I do works. For future reference what do I change, and where, to make either their intended or custom png's work? Also have the catgirl pirates actually been implemented yet? Just curious to know if i need to look harder

The vore could use a hugh chuck of a spice up. Saldy, maybe thats just me, its kinda... bland. Its not fun to read this, does not raise the hornies ifyouknowwhatimean. And its too short and too far between.

Catgirl pirates are waiting for more of alpha minoris system to be ported before we turn our attention to the forakis system. So they're not back in the game yet.
And you'd need to change the dialogue files in gameData/data/conversations/ in a way that..honestly can't easily be conveyed on the forums, you're better off joining the discord and asking around on that.

This was fixed on discord last night, 5 lines are missing from zin's conversation code that add the portraits if you look at a character that works it's a simple copy paste and name change to fix

What of the Vore have you experienced? Cause Nomad is THE MOST Vore DENSE game of all time. Nearly every single NPC has like 6 different Vore Scenes.

Every non purely robotic enemy can be Vored and can Vore the player. What's more much of it was written by a series of guest writers, and they don't all have the same writing style, so to be like how can they all fail to have the spice?

Did you only like run into the Harpies or something? That's just the Stater world and there's like 40 different Vore Sequences just there.

There's not a lot more to do in this version. If you want, there are some other systems you can go to. You can leave the system by buying a warp engine from the traders near the sun and going 100 paces in the direction you want to go and clicking the spiny thing until the waves align. I know south goes to the station, but it's bare-bones at the moment and I don't know if there's more in other directions right now. There's the AM3, the frost planet, you could go to still.
In the old java version of the game, you could continue the AM2 quest line to the elf-saurian war. That's not currently in though. Should be soon.

What are you stuck on? There are numerous places you can go and things you can do but there's no completed story yet, so what are you looking to do?

If I had to guess, they're on the area with the poison air via the second planet (Because I had that same problem but assume that there's not enough content there). If not, then... I dunno.

Well the good news about that, is that's about to change. The biggest barrier to the Reintroduction of Damath, and the progression of the story on AM2 has finally been broken down, and we can finally progress on that front. So there will finally be a reason to go to the Poison Jungle.

So, quick question. I understand the game has something you can do with a synth.. companion? ally? pet? that's named. I understand she can be modified with weaponry at the pod, but I don't know how to get ahold of her in the first place. I also have no idea how to do the stagherm modification thing with fawns but I gather that one requires use of a research computer.
I'm gonna be honest I probably sank (between the original and the unity remake) about 15 hours into this game before finally figuring out how to get the shuttle working to get off AM2A, and for that I had to have it comprehensively presented to me in the google doc guide to the starting moon that was posted somewhere in the original version's thread. I spent an hour trying to find details on how to turn blue crystals into starship fuel before that document told me that's not a thing and I just put them directly in the fuel tank. So maybe the synth thing is really obvious, or there's some option I have yet to explore. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure if it's been added to the unity version yet, but the synth companion is on the 2nd planet, with the green elves. You need to talk to the elf that tries to eat you upon landing, (after she's either given up or you've survived), and you basically need to befriend her. I think you need the reformer that's inside the facility on the starting planet, and that you need to be melted by her a few times. Eventually she'll let you into her house and you can fix the pod in her basement, which contains the synth.

In the elf village there is a house that is locked. Either befriend the elf that welcomes you just or lockpick the door (save beforehand and then savescum until you successfully unlock it). You will need three batteries to repair the pod in which is the synth follower.

I'm not sure how the levels/doors are generated, but I'm encountering a few bugs with those connections on Alpha 2.

Notably: The room where you get the synth follower, the ladder does not work. Once inside the only way to get out is to make/ask the synth to churn me and then reform back on the ship, leaving the companion trapped down below.

And on the... alien mothership? The one that's hovering just around the two starting planets. I can enter the first level no problem, but when I descend to the second level, my character doesn't appear anywhere on screen, and all of the buttons on the right side turn into white squares. I can see my stats, but everything from the character button down to the quick-use medkit is just a white box.

I previously had an issue with Alpha 1 for the ice planet, on the other side of the asteroid field in the starting system. I entered the caves, however one cave zone I entered was generated with no open wall to allow transition to another zone. I walked all around every wall and it was completely sealed.

As a non-bug related thing, is there a guide for this game somewhere? There's a mountain on the first planet's harpy zone that says something along the lines of "You can't see a way to scale it from this angle, maybe if you could get a better view you could find a way up." And I'm not sure how to get said better view or if it's just there for flavor?
If you bring the drama, I'll bring my squeaky rubber hammer and flail you into submission.
