Still not any wiser... Posted 11 years ago
...but I did get another year older again. :-) The counter is at 0x28 now, so I upgraded to the new and improved 4.0 version of me. ^^

Thank to everyone who remembered my birthday!
The world didn't end again!? Posted 12 years ago
So the Mayan calendar rolled over, and again nothing happened. No massive earthquakes, no volcanic eruptions, no nuclear apocalypse, no Nibiru crashing into earth, no aliens appearing, and no sexy space goddess showing up to gobble our planet for a snack. (A pity, that last one.)

I wonder if all the doomsday thinkers will learn to use that thing between their ears from now on instead of listening to the nearest crackpot shouting nonsense, but probably not. Homo sapiens an intelligent species? Ha! With all the rampant stupidity on this little globe, it's almost a miracle that we haven't destroyed ourselves yet... :-)

Oh well, I guess some things just cannot be changed. I...

Another year older, and wiser? Posted 12 years ago
Well, today I yet again increment my physical age by one. Or, in the language of that modding tool I've been meddling around with the past few weeks:

COPY_EXISTING ~angel.cre~
WRITE_SHORT CHAR_AGE 0x27

So another year older and wiser? ... Naah, just older. I'm still a child whose toys are just bigger than most. :-)
Busy week... Posted 13 years ago
Well, this week has been crazy, with most of my time being absorbed by studying and preparing for the exam for my RHCA certificate. The exam was today, and although at the time of writing I don't have the official result in yet, I think I did pretty well and should pass the norm easily. My social life this week was virtually non-existent though, and I apologize on my lack of updates, and lack of responses to those who have contacted me the past week. I will get back to you as soon as I feel more rested and get back into my usual routine.

First step is going back into my "at least one sketch a day" routine, and I just uploaded the one for today. Since the day isn't over yet, I just may do more, if I feel like it. I don't have a list of ideas to draw, I just go with...

And so it begins... Posted 13 years ago
It finally happened. The Netherlands have joined the ranks of China, Syria and Iran as a country that tries to censor the Internet. After telling China they shouldn't censor the 'net, and arguing that tech companies should not be selling the means to censor to 'suspect' countries, our own justice system has caved in to the demands of the entertainment industry and ordered two local ISPs to block access to the Pirate Bay.

Is the censorship at least in the hands of a government organization that is forced to work in the open? Nope, the judge handed it all to BREIN, a *private* organization funded by the entertainment industry, comparable to the RIAA in the US. No checks, no due process, no appeals, nothing. BREIN says to block it, it has to get blocked. Not complying costs...

Slowly recovering... Posted 13 years ago
Mm, where to start this... Well, the good news is that I am slowly recovering from my breakdown. My autism consultant visited my new workplace the other day, and quickly determined that my current problems are indeed due to my Asperger syndrome crying foul at the new circumstances, the whole change in jobs being just one of them.

The problem is, normally the fact that I have Asperger syndrome is not readily apparent (which is why it could go unnoticed for 36 years). As long as I'm in the right circumstances, my high intelligence masks my social shortcomings, and I function well enough to hold a normal job and lead a normal life. It's only when a major change comes in my life when things start going south. This tends to lead both me and those around me into a sense of false...

Changing departments makes me go haywire? Posted 13 years ago
Apparently, yes.

Last week I started at a new department. Same branch of work, but a different location, different people, new tools and a slightly different platform. Shouldn't be too big a deal, eh? I mean, some people hop jobs every few months or so.

I'm not one of those people. Since I've started at the new place, I haven't been able to get a decent night of sleep in, only getting a few hours of shut-eye when exhaustion finally won from worrying. I've suffered blackouts, bouts of uncontrolled crying, and I cannot concentrate at all. What little creativity I had is completely shot to hell, I can't even do a simple coloring any more.

It's not the people at the new place. They've treated me fairly nice and seem an okay bunch. And my new manager is a...

So many ideas, so little time (and money!) Posted 13 years ago
Yeah, I love art, and I love it when people draw Angelissa, so I tend to have many pictures of her done. Few artists work for free though, so the times I get Angelissa drawn is limited by my budget. And since artists have their own preferences and abilities, it's sometimes hard to find the right artist for the job. Gathered below are some of the ideas that have been floating in my head for some time, and may or may not come to be in the future.

I write them here mainly as notes to myself so they at least won't be forgotten. But, if you're an artist and feel like drawing any of these, please drop me a line. Maybe we can work something out.

= Vore-related ideas:

1. Unbirthing Mae
Actually, no art of Angelissa unbirthing anyone exists. She...

Coloring conflict Posted 13 years ago
Recently, that is, mere moments before I started writing this, I ran into a bit of controversy about one of my color works. I had uploaded one colored picture from an artist whom I thought long gone, but that turned out to be a big mistake. Suffice to say, I felt obligated to remove the disputed work post-haste. Now, before bad words spread, I want to set a few things straight.

I'm no lawyer, but as far as I know there is no law in the world that forbids me to color someone else's picture in the privacy of my own home. The law only places restrictions on the distribution of such a colored work. So yes, I do not normally contact an artist when I start coloring a picture. I do, however, ask an artist for permission before I upload the colored work. However, sometimes that is...

How Angelissa stays an angel... Posted 14 years ago
Sometimes I get asked how Angelissa manages to stay an angel, with all the sex and vore she engages in. I'll try to give the answers here, but I have to admit that I don't have all the answers, and a lot of it is opinion and interpretation. So don't expect to find a 100% foolproof and loophole-free argument here.

Well, first and most importantly, I should point out that Angelissa is not a biblical angel. Her universe (actually a multiverse) is a polytheistic one, where every god, goddess, demon and devil ever invented by mankind actually exists and interacts. Also, in her universe 'good' and 'evil' are detectable and measurable aspects, not just a matter of opinion. For those of you familiar with Dungeons and Dragons, consider the Planescape setting. That gives you a good idea...
