I have updated my commission tab for the first time in ages; those who are curious are welcome to check it out.
The biggest change is that I am altering the way I price my commissions. Previously I was doing $2 a page, which was both awkward for consistently assessing prices and (sadly) not enough to merit the time I usually spend writing.
I have changed this to $8 per 1000 words, based on a combination of the following factors:
- I am going to start paying off student loans soon and need the money
- There is only so much time I can spend writing in a given day; if it takes me 2 hours to write 5 pages of something I'm not personally invested in, that's not a wise use of my time
