Sometime during the night, the food was digested enough for the trip through the intestines.

The pyloric sphincter opened and the liquid chyme flowed slowly from the stomach to the duodenum. The stomach was left empty with the remaining acid oozing from the wrinkly walls. Soon it would be time for breakfast, and the beginning of another digestive process.
