You know what. Despite Ariel being married &, at least I think anyways (not sure if it is true or not), Moana isn't in the Little Mermaid world. This is actually pretty adorable. I can see the ship working either way.
And yet, in a way, it does. Like the ship between Sans & Chara from Undertale. It doesn't really make sense since canonly in the game they don't know each other at all, but that doesn't stop people from shipping them. Right?

this is a universe where Ariel isn't married, they're in the same world and time period. to be honest, by all accounts, this doesn't make any sense.
